How do I complete identity verification
ToonPay verifies every account before unlocking full features, including ordering a card. Verification is handled by our identity partner, Sumsub, and is a standard step for any regulated payment provider.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- A valid government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, or driver’s licence — accepted document types will be listed in the app)
- A few minutes to take a live selfie for identity confirmation
- Open the Verification section in the app and tap Start Verification.
- Enter your personal details (name, date of birth, address).
- Tap Continue with Sumsub.
- Select USA if you’re a US applicant, or All countries except USA otherwise.
- Upload a photo of your ID document — front and back if applicable.
- Complete the live selfie check.
- Submit for review.
You’ll see your verification status in the app while it’s being reviewed.
Why was I asked for this again?
Section titled “Why was I asked for this again?”If your documents expired, didn’t match, or a photo was unclear, you may be asked to resubmit. Follow the in-app prompt for the specific reason.
